Korean Dramas Can Heal the World
Kidding. Not kidding. Queen of Tears.
Maybe it’s to justify my K-drama (K is for Korean, for those needing an explanation) addiction, but I am thinking these days that they can heal the world. Kidding. But I do think they have a lot to offer in ways to think about life.
I am relatively new to this trend. I would say, “I don’t know why I like them so much, but I do.” I knew there was something formulaic about them, but I was okay with it. I was moved, touched, entertained. When one ended, I would look for another. Recently, I have been wanting to understand why I have this fanatic-like compulsion to watch one series after another. I did not get a chance to watch the popular series Queen of Tears (Netflix) until recently when all the episodes had already dropped, making it binge-watchable. Honestly, I am not a binge-watcher. This is rare for me.
